President Obama’s baseless hatred

A blame game solved.

President Obama, and his Secretary of State Kelly, after stabbing Israel in the back at the UN Security Counsel pertaining Resolution 2334, have been extra busy the last couple of weeks to blame the tensions between them and the Israeli Government on the Israeli prime minister. According to the US president, Mr. Netanyahu did not recognize his friendship.

Now, that is a funny statement, given that any beginning therapist and generally wise person can tell you: if it doesn’t feel like love it most likely is not; if it doesn’t feel like friendship it most probably is not. However, one never knows who to blame, until … proof comes in. And it did.

Firstly, the just mentioned backstabbing put all the suspicion on the US president. The SoS with the State Department within a week came with a 73-minutes dishonesty-drenched speech to blame that betrayal on … the victim, Israel. That was blow number two, only strengthening that suspicion. But now the last piece of wrongdoing has come in.

President Obama has pardoned and reduced sentences of more convicted people than all previous 12 US Presidents combined! (See: List of people granted executive clemency by Barack Obama) However, at what we may assume to be his last round of mercy yesterday, one name was standing out for missing: Jonathan Pollard. Full disclosure: this made my blood boil.

All the Jewish Members of Knesset, left, right and center, have unanimously (!) asked this US president to let Jonathan go free to live in Israel. How is Mr. Obama going to blame this lack of empathy with a Zionist Jew on the Jewish state? Three signs of great hostility within one month. The appearance of this president as friend of Jews in Israel is dead. We do not have to wait for future historians to draw this conclusion.

The rabbis have a term for a lack of love — they call it hatred. It does not make me happy to highlight this, but we Jews have always been helped by knowing our enemies.

No, there is no proof that President Obama and Secretary of State Kelly hate all Jews — just the Zionist ones. However, hating Zionists relates to Jews as hating feminists to women. We have words for such bigotries — anti-Semitism and sexism, respectively.

It is not uncommon that Leftists (including some Jewish ones) are for every Liberation struggle in the world except the Jewish one. That is one reason why anti-Semitism cannot be counted as just a form of racism. People can be anti-racism and still look down on the Jews.

Thank G-d, the American people in great majority and Congress are loyal and steadfast friends of Israel — and it is mutual. They are not mislead by anything.
