Dorot Immersive Passover Package Delivery
This past Sunday, over one hundred DOROT volunteers visited frail and home bound seniors who reside in Westchester County, alleviating their social isolation by participating in DOROT’s Passover Package Delivery. DOROT welcomed volunteers of all ages, including community groups. DOROT is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to alleviate social isolation and provide concrete services to older adults. For more than four decades, DOROT has been an innovative leader in the fields of aging services and volunteerism. DOROT’s diverse set of programs, as well as our focus on providing inter-generational connections to seniors, has ensured that DOROT’s clients have access to the resources they need to age with dignity, independence, and grace.
The volunteers spent an hour with each senior, engaging them in conversation to keep them mentally and socially active, and delivered kosher for Passover foods to help them celebrate the holiday, Utilizing 360FLY 4k we captured the experience through a unique immersive lens. As non profit organizations look to enhance their outreach and digital footprint it is clear immersive technology will be a critical tool to attract new funders and volunteers.
